What data do we collect?

Our company collects the following data:

  • Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, etc.)
  • In accordance with the Camping and Caravanning Club rules - who grant our license - we also collect information relating to your club membership number and vehicle registration number.

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide our company with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Fill in a reservation form for a campsite pitch
  • Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any our message boards, or via email
  • If you book to stay in one of our Shepherd Huts (Mr Blue Sky or Forget-me-Not) or our Holiday Let, you will have used the Classic Cottages website. Some of the personal data you supply to Classic Cottages is also accessible to us -as the campsite operator and owners – via an account link.

How will we use your data?

Our company collects your data so that we can:

  • Process your booking reservation and generate an invoice.
  • Provide the camping and caravanning club with your name, club membership number, vehicle registration number and dates you stayed with us.

Our company will not share your data with any other company.

How do we store your data?

All electronic data which contains your personal identification is stored in the form of email correspondence on our internet service providers’ servers. This data is only accessed from a password protected PC located at the main residence at Bos Verbas. The PC is installed with up-to-date anti-viral software. Any paper copies produced for the purposes of the camping and caravanning club contain very limited personal data - only your name, your vehicle(s) registration and your club membership number. You consent to us keeping this personal data in a locked filing cabinet for as long as required by the Camping & Caravanning Club when you fill in and return our reservation form. The reservation form has a disclaimer to remind you of this when you fill it out.

If you have booked to stay in our Shepherd huts or Holiday Let, you will have used the Classic Cottages website and the data you have submitted to them will be stored in accordance with their own privacy policy. As the owners and managers of the campsite, as well as the co directors of bosverbas holidays Ltd, we also have access to this personal identification data; but this information is not stored persistently on our PC.

Marketing

Our Company will not send you any marketing information, nor do we have any partner companies. We advertise the campsite only through the Camping and Caravanning Club as well as our own website.

The reservation form you fill in when booking a pitch on our campsite does automatically give consent for us to communicate with you via email. Not only to allow us to confirm your reservation; but also to keep in contact with you in the future and keep you informed of any promotions or changes to our campsite facilities that maybe relevant to you. You can always request to opt out of this method of communication at any time by emailing us.

What are your data protection rights?

Our company would like to make you fully aware of all your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access – You have the right to request our company for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
  • The right to rectification – You have the right to request that our Company correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request our Company to complete information you believe to be incomplete.
